I had high hopes for the Absolute Aromas Dreamtime Aroma-Diffuser – would it live up to my expectations?

As soon as I unpacked the Dreamtime Aroma-Diffuser, Initially I was struck with the looks of the product. In my heart I knew that looks were not everything but I am a sucker for nice-looking products for the nursery and bedroom. This is certainly designed to look amazing on Instagram!
Review
The Dreamtime Aroma-Diffuser was very easy to set up and came with clear and concise instructions. I discussed with my daughter which ‘ears’ she wanted (blue, it’s ALWAYS blue), attached them and then we were ready to test it out.
To get started, you simply remove the top cover (head) and then the internal cover. You add water to the red marker and a few drops of essential oil, replace everything, plug it in and you are good to go.
The first thing that struck me was the music. Baby and children’s products often have quite a nauseating and harsh, tinny sound but not the Dreamtime Aroma-Diffuser. It was like being in a spa, a high end spa. The music is absolutely lovely and I could have dropped off in my daughter’s bedroom.
How Does It Work?
Teamed with the smell from the essential oils, we used Goodnight Oil and the soft light from the products’ tummy – this really provided all the elements I hoped would help my daughter drift off into a relaxed slumber. The lights subtly changed tone, the music and sound effects softly playing in the background and the mood lighting was bound to send my daughter to sleep within minutes…or so I hoped!
We tried it out the first night and my daughter absolutely loved it – so did I, I am not going to lie! The burning question was, did she sleep, did she fall asleep within minutes? The honest truth is no BUT she loved it and stayed in bed, obviously calmed by the music and the essential oils. I KNEW it would take her a while to get used to it as she is Autistic and was pleasantly surprised about the calming effect it had.
We have been using this for a few weeks now and my daughter is certainly calm at bedtime – and I have nodded off on her bed a few times. I would certainly recommend this to other parents and having used a wide range of sleep aids over the years, this has to be one of my favourites. It’s not the cheapest but it is beautifully made and looks absolutely stunning. I’m a sucker for nice looking products.

Yes I certainly would recommend this to other parents – one of the nicest sleep aids I have seen for some time.
