There are many creative and fun things you can make out of snow with children. Here are some of our favourite ideas:
Snowman
Building a snowman is a classic winter activity that children of all ages love. Gather three snowballs of different sizes and stack them on top of each other. Then add eyes, a nose, a mouth, and other features using sticks, rocks, and other natural materials.
Snow fort
Digging a snow fort can be a fun and exciting activity for children. Use shovels and buckets to build walls and create a cosy space inside.
Snow angels
Lie down on your back in the snow and move your arms and legs up and down to create an angel shape. This is a great activity for younger children who may not be able to build more complex structures.
Snow sculptures
Encourage children to use their imaginations and create their own snow sculptures using different tools, such as spoons, forks, and spatulas.
Snowballs
Roll snow into balls and have a snowball fight! This is a fun activity that can be enjoyed by children of all ages.
Sledging
If you have a hill nearby, grab a sledge or toboggan and go sledging with your children. This is a great way to enjoy the snow and get some exercise.
Remember to dress appropriately for the weather and supervise young children during these activities to ensure their safety.
Have fun!
