The packaging is lovely on this product. It’s a compact little thing and there was nothing to assemble straight out of the box. Just plug in and go!
It didn’t take too long to warm up, we plugged it in to heat up while we made the pancake mixture and chopped the fruit. We poured on the pancake batter and closed the lid… but, we waited an age for the pancakes to cook unfortunately. I think it took around 40 minutes in total to cook 6 pancakes! So if you have little ones who are eagerly awaiting their snack they (and you) may get a little frustrated!
The non-stick plate made cooking eggs a breeze, the perfectly cooked egg!
You can cook a variety of things on the Snack Maker such as giant cookies and ice cream sandwiches. It is a nice little gadget to have in the kitchen and the colour is lovely. It’s a great way to have some quality time with your children as they can prepare the ingredients for your chosen snack and enjoy watching them cook… just make sure they are aware that it can take some time to cook!
The non-stick plate is super easy to clean which is a big bonus!
Pros
- Looks great, lovely colour and compact for ease of storage

-
A good price, would make a fun little gift
-
Easy to clean
Cons
- It took 40 minutes to cook 6 pancakes, would be much quicker in a pan!
Would you recommend the Giles & Posner Mini Snack Maker to other parents?
I think I would, as a fun way to have some fun baking time on a rainy day with the kids. But, if they are hungry they may need to snack on the fruit while they wait for things to cook!
