How well does it toast?
Let’s face it – this is the most important feature of a toaster. Forget unevenly browned toast causing meltdowns! We found that this toaster delivers consistent browning across all bread types, from thin slices to bagel halves. Plus, the adjustable settings cater to everyone’s preferences, from “barely kissed by heat” to “charcoal enthusiast.” We were impressed with the versatility and there was a setting for everyone!
Features
The wide slots are a lifesaver for those inevitable moments your child “helps” by shoving in oversized bread chunks. We loved that we could cut our own bread (often wonky), and it still seemed to fit in and toast efficiently! The defrost function revives frozen bread slices in a flash, and the reheat setting turns yesterday’s toast into today’s warm treat (perfect for picky eaters who change their minds faster than the weather).
We fell in love with Crispy side function which allows you to toast one side more than the other. This really came into it’s won when toast bagels. It was so good in fact that, bagels quickly became a firm favourite in the office for lunch.
Burnt crumbs are a parent’s nemesis, but the removable crumb tray makes cleanup a breeze. No more digging and prying – just pop it out, empty it, and you’re good to go. The Haier Series 5 also comes with a Anti-Dust Lid. We’d like to think that our house isn’t too dusty but it’s a nice addition!
Design
The sleek design looks great on any countertop, and the compact size doesn’t hog precious counter space. Toast and bagels were toasted to perfection again and again.
Pros
- Evenly toasts

- Contemporary, sleek design
