We were thrilled to have the Scampsuit in for review and really did put it through it’s muddy paces! The question was, would it really keep our mud-loving, adventurous little scamp as warm and dry as we wanted it to?

Muddy Puddles Review : 3 in 1 Waterproof Scampsuit
First Impressions
The Scampsuit looks great, with vibrant colours and lovely patterns. It is really well designed and is easy to get little ones in and out of the outer layer without being fiddly or too tight to get their arms and legs in, even when getting them into it in the boot of a car! The fleece lining is slightly tighter fitting and therefore more tricky to get little ones into on the go, but when putting it on before going out it is easy to put on and do up. The zip fastening on both layers are easy to use and the popper detail at the top of the outer layer keeps the zip away from their face and keeps the suit securely fastened.
Quality
The material on the Scampsuit is excellent quality and hasn’t scratched or marked while playing outside. It hasn’t faded after being machine washed which parents will agree is important. While pricier than other puddlesuits, the Scampsuit is amazing quality and we are sure will last for a long time.
Performance
The Scampsuit kept our tester warm and dry even when playing in rain, mud, sand and sea! Parents of toddlers, particularly those who love being outdoors and the messiness this brings, know how difficult this can be to achieve especially in the unpredictable British weather. Our toddler usually complains about wearing a coat but loved being in the Scampsuit!
The outer layer is extremely waterproof and doesn’t let water through even after being outside for quite some time. We loved the elasticated cuffs around wrists and ankles which limited the amount of water that could seep in. There are also straps on the ankles which allow you to hook the suit around shoes and wellies. This keeps the elasticated cuffs firmly in place.
The Scampsuit is very warm without being bulky, allowing little ones to play and move around freely. This is perfect for those winter months.
It is also very generously sized giving longevity and contributing to the value for money the Scampsuit offers. It also allows room to add different layers underneath. The detachable fleece lining clips into place with poppers on the outer layer and means you can add an extra layer on especially cold and wet days – a must for winter! The hood has good structure and doesn’t fall over the face in the wind or when running around, and the cap detail at the front keeps rain away from little faces. We used the Scampsuit for many days in a row and found it dried quickly and could be used for more fun straight away the next day.
Conclusion
The Scampsuit is a great product which allows outdoor play in any weather while keeping little ones warm and dry, with different colours and patterns for different preferences and fantastic quality materials. We would recommend it to any parent, especially those with children
who love to be outside come rain or shine! The quality of the design combined with the generous sizing mean the Scampsuit will last for a very long time and is worth the price tag.

Star Rating
In all honesty we were very impressed with the Muddy Puddles 3-in-1 Scampsuit. Yes of course there are cheaper options on the market and for some parents this will be a barrier. However, you are not getting one product, you are getting THREE products and if you purchased these separately you would be hard pushed to be able to buy all three with the same quality for any less! We awarded the mud-loving Scampsuit a well deserved 9 out of 10 stars!
