Getting the nursery ready for your baby’s arrival is one of the most exciting things to do during your pregnancy. Keeping neutral and going for greys, whites and mints is definitely the trend at the moment and we have to admit we love it!
This week we’ve pulled together a few of our favourite bits to get your nursery ready for your bump and we’re all about unisex – so if you’re waiting until birth to find out whether you are having a little girl or boy you can still create a super cute nursery!
Going down the neutral road we just had to show you this wallpaper from GLTC. How sweet is this cloud paper? Matched with white walls this is perfect for creating a calm and cute atmosphere. We’ve recently had wallpaper from Great Little Trading Company and we can tell you the quality is lovely. The thick paper is wipe-clean, with little children around the house is a must!
When you’re working out what you need in the nursery, a nursing chair might not have crossed your mind. But, we can tell you the second you sit in one you will be converted. They really are the most comfortable seats and come in handy when you need to rock your baby to sleep. Sit down and glide until your little one is snoozing. This is the Tutti Bambini GC35 Glider Chair and it comes with a matching foot stool that also rocks. Trust us, once you’ve tried it you are going to love it and wonder why you didn’t have one before.
Blankets, towels and bedding…Clair de Lune are the go to for soft nursery furnishings! Right now we love the Lullaby Hearts fabric pattern which is a super soft white cotton with tiny, delicately embroidered grey hearts. The range has Moses baskets, cot bedding, towels, blankets and changing mats so you can keep the theme running throughout your nursery if you like. A perfect collection for surrounding your baby with lots of love!
If you don’t want to paper or go to town on painting the nursery then maybe wall stickers will be more up your street! Stickers are great for adding a splash of personality without needing hours and hours to revamp. Shortlisted in the 2017 Best Baby & Toddler Gear Awards are Koko Kids who have lots of different designs. We think this Dream Big Little One set is too cute and perfect for a newborn nursery.
What’s a nursery without a bed for your little one? For something a little different we absolutely love the Stokke Home. Shaped like a house it is designed to grow with your little one and will last them until around 5 years old. It’s an adorable place for your baby to sleep safely and you can convert from cot to toddler bed and with the addition of the Stokke Home Tent it can even become a play den for your youngster. As expected with Stokke the simple design will fit into any nursery theme or colour and becomes the heart of your little ones new bedroom.
