Simba Hybrid Original Mattress Review

The mattress arrived in a rectangular box so was easy manoeuvre into the required room. The last mattress I bought was fully ‘inflated’ and this option from Simba is far easier!

On opening the box and the plastic ‘bag’ the mattress slowly inflates or rather decompresses. We popped it on the bed and left it for 12 hours. The first thing you notice however, is the smell! Lots of reviews mention this but it was stronger than we had anticipated and certainly took a week to completely disappear from the bedroom. We know that other foam mattresses also emit a slight odour when first unpacked so Simba is not alone in this and it is completely harmless but it was rather strong initially.

The mattress itself has a hybrid construction which combines the comfort of memory foam with the support of pocket springs. It certainly got the thumbs up from us for the level of comfort. The Simba Hybrid boasts ‘Simba AeroCell Technology’ which in a nutshell ensures optimal airflow. This prevents heat build-up and in theory offers a cool night’s sleep. We can testify that this indeed was the casse, even on warmer nights.

We found the Simba Hybrid mattress to be incredibly comfortable. The memory foam contours to your body and we woke up feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep.
