How Should I Dry My Pushchair?
Air Drying is Best
Whenever possible, dry your pushchair outdoors in the fresh air. We recommend putting it in the shade or in a well-ventilated area with good air circulation. Direct sunlight can fade the fabric, so avoid drying it directly in the sun.
Microfibre Magic
Once you’ve rinsed the pushchair with water, use a clean, microfibre cloth to thoroughly absorb as much excess moisture as possible from the fabric, frame, and wheels. Microfibre cloths are super absorbent and won’t leave streaks or lint. They are not expensive and can be washed after use.
Towel Patting
If your pushchair has stubborn water droplets, use a clean, absorbent towel to gently pat them away. Don’t rub, as this can spread the water and create even larger marks.
What Should I use to Clean My Pushchair?
Ditch the Harsh Chemicals
Firstly, avoid using harsh detergents or cleaning products on your pushchair fabric. These can leave residues that attract water and make them more susceptible to water marks. Stick to mild soap and lukewarm water for cleaning.
Vinegar Rinse (Optional)
After cleaning with soapy water, consider a final rinse with a diluted vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water). Vinegar helps remove soap residue and can leave the fabric looking brighter without leaving any water marks. Always test the vinegar solution on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first to ensure it doesn’t cause any discolouration.
Drying Considerations
Don’t Fold When Wet
Never fold or store your pushchair while it’s still wet. This can trap moisture and lead to mould growth and water mark formation. Allow it to dry completely before folding and storing it away.
Prop it Up
If you can’t air dry your pushchair outdoors, prop it open indoors in a well-ventilated area to facilitate air circulation and speed up the drying process.

Your can buy water-repellent sprays designed to protect the fabric from staining and water marks. Consider applying a light coat of such a spray following the manufacturer’s instructions. Remember, reapplication might be necessary after a certain period or several washes.
