Drayton Park

Or visit for Night at the Manor… if you dare. As part of this ultimate scare experience, creep around the Castle of Screams – in the dark – and try to make your way out alive! You’ll also get to ride the Haunted Express, and Hunt for Zebidiah in our night time walk, as well as party like a Viking with our resident DJ and enjoy your favourite Vikings rides after dark.

Blenham Palace

A spooky, fun-filled, after dark trail for all the family  

As Halloween creeps closer and the days shorten, a mysterious mist falls across the gardens at Blenheim Palace. Join with family and friends to wander from dusk into darkness between one ghostly space to another… if you dare. Watch out for flickering flames in a fiendish fire garden, daring fire artists and grinning pumpkins aglow. Wind your way through the illuminated haunted woods filled with creepy neon cobwebs, ghastly ghouls, wicked witches, larger-than life spiders and beastly bats. Then discover the Secret Garden filled with more hidden surprises. Could it be a trick of the light or do things really go “bump in the night”?

Expect spines to be tingled

As the nights get longer, get ready for all sorts of creepy scares, shocks and thrills as Alton Towers Resort celebrates 15 years of its award-winning Scarefest. On October’s spookiest dates, prepare for spines to be tingled, from the frantically funny and seriously spooky themed attractions for all ages, including a brand-new scare attraction for the bravest of souls.   

Open until 9pm, daring guests can face head-spinning, hair-raising rides and attractions in the darkness including Wicker Man and the Alton Towers Dungeon. If that’s not scary enough, brace yourselves for the return of three multi-award winning, terrifying mazes. Are you courageous enough for a terrifying adventure aboard ‘The Mutiny’ in Darkest Depths? Are you mad enough to find out the secret of the ‘Skin Snatchers’ in Altonville Mine Tours? Or dare you venture up to The Attic where local people say the ghost of the Governess still seeks revenge for the death of her charges?

Calling all witches and wizards! Come and get into the spirit of Halloween with us at Wookey Hole, the home of Halloween.

This year, the Witch of Wookey Hole has invited her sisters home for the holiday’s. You’ll find us overrun with witches. Fortunately our witches like to treat children rather than eat them!

There are Halloween circus shows, spooky trails and treats for every child.

You can look forward to learning how to broomstick ride and other fun activities that will entertain the family. The Halloween events are family friendly rather than frightening, so everyone can join in the fun.

London Zoo

This October half term, take on London Zoo in their Halloween challenge featuring Top Trumps! Grab a tournament card at the entrance, then head off around ZSL London Zoo in search of our most impressive residents and our giant Halloween Top Trumps cards. 

Choose which animal you want to play and pick a category, then battle it out to see which animal is the speediest, cutest, greediest, longest living, highest rated or has the highest EDGE score. Beat London Zoo on three or more cards to win!

Plus, have a go at designing your own Top Trumps card in our Terrace Restaurant. Pick your animal, draw it out and decide it’s ratings. How would it compare to the Halloween cards on our trail?

All Top Trumps activities are included in Zoo entry. Under 3s and ZSL members go free.
