More About Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace first opened its doors to the public 75 years ago to raise funds for essential roof conservation work. This pivotal £12.5M project is on restoring a significant section of the roof of Britain’s Greatest Palace.This is to ensure that it remains resilient against the elements that threaten its historical integrity. Alongside the revolutionary restoration work commencing next year, three exclusive new experiences at Blenheim Palace will be live at the landmark from Spring 2025.

Blenheim Palace is all set to raise its roof with an all-new ticketed viewing platform experience. This provides visitors with never before seen breathtaking views over the Estate. The views include the famous Column of Victory, as well as the surrounding Oxfordshire countryside.

Life Below Stairs

For the first time, visitors will get to go below the Palace and step back in history to explore the hidden world of Blenheim Palace’s servants. The new Life Below Stairs experience will provide the opportunity to see the historically significant original palace kitchens. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the spaces and hear the sounds of the staff working as they prepare for an important royal visit.

Blenheim Palace Family Treasures

Unlock never before seen treasures of the private apartments. Follow in the footsteps of dukes, duchesses and their illustrious guests. For a deeper insight into the history of Blenheim Palace, the extended State Room Tours will offer a journey through some of the grandest rooms. Walk the new route through the family Dining Room. Discover the Smoking Room where George Stubbs’ famous portrait of a tigress can be seen. Not forgetting the Duchess’s Sitting Room, where visitors can spot an unusual clock. The clock was designed by Benjamin Vulliamy (George III, 1787) and features a Derby biscuit porcelain figure of Andromache mourning over the ashes of Hector at Troy. Visitors can also step through the doors into the Drawing Rooms and the stunning Grand Cabinet. This features a Savonnerie Carpet (c1750) from the famous Parisian carpet manufacturer and the finest collection of family portraits in the Palace.

2025 will also see Blenheim Place’s renowned gardens undergo a stunning transformation with new features to be explored every season. This is a must-see for all families.

Competition terms and conditions

● Prize for the winner is: 1x Blenheim Palace and Play Pass (2 Adults & 2 Children). This is worth £165
●The prize is to be redeemed within the remainder of 2025.
● Entrants for the competition must be 18 years and over. They must be based in the UK.
● The winner will be chosen at random.
● Once selected, the winner will be notified and will have 72 hours to claim the prize. Failure to reply to notification within this time period renders the competition void and a replacement winner will be selected and contacted.
● The winner will be contacted via email. They have 72 hours to claim the prize.
● There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize is not transferable. No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions
● The name, email address and a contact number of the winner will be requested for prize fulfillment. They may be passed to a third-party provider for prize arrangement.
● The competition winner may be invited and agree to take part in post-competition publicity as may be requested by the promoter.
● By accepting the prize, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the competition winner consents that the promoter may use his/her name, photograph, likeness (including his/her voice), hometown and biographical information.
